Catering to a range of palates, Spice and Beyond's offerings do not shy away from deliciously spicy dishes. Yet, it's essential to embrace the traditional cooking style, which may include a bit of oil in the curries. As one passionate reviewer noted, it's all part of the authentic Pakistani dining experience. Just bring a paper towel for those who may be sensitive to oil!

We ate the Nihari and the butter chicken. The Nihari was spicy perfection and soooo good with naan. The butter chicken was creamy and good but wasn't the signature red color. But that wasn't a problem.

I wanted to try a new place and just decided to order a whole bunch of stuff and try a little bit of everything. Got roghni naan, nihari, veggie pakora, mixed veggie, and chicken kabob. The good news is that I tried a bite of everything and it was all amazing. The (not) bad news is that I have all my meals for the next two days covered because there is so much! Will definitely order it again.

This review is specifically for people with oil issue. Sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience. Let me just start by saying that Authentic Pakistani food is greasy, they do have oily puddle in their curry. That oily puddle deep or shallow is called "Taaree". If you ever visit Lahore, you gotta go to the andoronay Lahore, old Lahore basically and every small restaurant you will go to has some oily greasy side to it. All you gotta do it, pour it out or use paper towel to soak oil out of your dish. That's all. Pakistani/Indian dishes are not the healthiest kind but of course you can make any Desi (Pakistani/Indian/ Bangla) dish healthy if you make it at home, with very little or no oil. Or use coconut OR any other oil substitute. Ordering a take out is a treat for most of the population, so unless you are going to just settle with little bit oily dish then what's the point. Just grab a paper towel and get rid of the excess oil and still enjoy the Authentic Pakistani dish. I am just a customer at Spice and Beyond and I understand that they might not be perfect but they are doing a pretty good job of bringing part of Pakistan to New York. Have a wonderful day.

Best paya, goat karahi and mango lassi! My husband and I always order from here when we don't feel like cooking.

Came here to grab some food for Ramadan since I was too busy to cook food at home. I ordered chicken gyro over rice and was surprised at how good it was. I usually never buy chicken gyro over rice in Albany because most of the time, the portions or the flavor is just not there. But this place nailed it. It was really good. The sauce that comes with it also added along the extra flavors that you need and it makes you feel more than full after you finish it. Would love to more food in the future when I come back here again!

Wow, why didn't I know this place was here?!? It's been here for a while and we just ordered takeout for the first time. I got the mixed kabab grill over Kabuli rice with salad. The portion was extremely generous and the meat was tender and well seasoned. I got to try many different types of meat. The rice was very tasty with raisins and good flavor. Even the salad was nice with a good variety of vegetables. The naan had a great flavor and texture. Others in my party had a Chicken kabob platter and a Chicken Afghani Boti platter and were equally pleased. My son had Butter Chicken Curry. It was very good but I'm surprised it didn't come with rice. The price is very fair for this wonderful quality food. I look forward to ordering again.

This has quickly become a favorite "go to" restaurant for us. The food is delicious - wonderfully seasoned, generous portions at reasonable prices and great service. Highly recommend the chicken karahi and the kabob platters. I'm a huge fan of their Peshawari Kahwa tea. It's a in house blend of green tea and spices. We haven't had anything that we wouldn't order again or recommend. If you're looking for homemade, authentic, delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere with really nice people, this is the place.
